Helping You To Manage Your Tenancy

Select Move are looking for ways to help you manage your tenancy. Before we can arrange a viewing of a property we may contact you to discuss your income/outgoings to help us provide the right support and identify where we can assist you.  The outcome of the affordability assessment will not prevent the application from being made active, however it may preclude an offer being made or we may withdraw an offer.  You can use the current benefit rates to ensure you are in receipt of all eligible benefits.  Properties may also be advertised using other platforms such as Right Move so you will need to check all sites to ensure that you see every home that we have available.  You can view up to date information on benefits by looking on the following websites www.shelter.org.uk or www.centrepoint.org.uk

Welcome to Select Move

Select Move is a Choice Based Lettings allocation scheme, where applicants proactively express interest on properties they wish to be considered for rather than wait inactively on a traditional waiting list.  We advertise  housing association properties and some shared ownership homes, with all major housing associations using the scheme to allocate their homes.  There is no ‘Council Housing’ in the area covered as Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Councils have transferred their housing stock to Housing Associations, and the scheme acts as the Housing Register in these areas.

All available properties are advertised each week and if you are eligible and qualify to join the Select Move or Open Property Register you can express an interest in up to 5 properties a week via this website, or telephone 0800 655 6785 and speak to the partner of your choice who will be happy to help you.
