After the closing date we look at how many people have shown an interest in each home advertised. If only one person has shown an interest in a property and they are suitable, we’ll make them an offer subject to reference checks.
If more than one person has shown an interest in a home, the applicant who most closely matches the property requirements will get the offer. If more than one person is still suitable then the applicant registered with Select Move the longest will be successful.
We are only able to contact applicants who are successful, so if you have not heard from us by the time the next advertising cycle commences then please assume you have been unsuccessful and choose again from the available homes.
Some homes are not offered immediately, this is due to us waiting for the current tenant to move out. To stop applicants from being disappointed about having an offer withdrawn, we wait until the property is empty and legally ours to offer out before contacting the successful applicant.
If you have been successful:
If everything’s OK you can get ready to move into your new home after signing the tenancy agreement and association paperwork.
